Midsummer Salsify

500.00

6”x8” oil on linen. I know these look like giant dandelions, but they are actually the flower of the Salsify plant. I painted these in Sun Valley, Idaho, and I learned that they have an edible, parsnip-like root. This painting is on a Sourcetek professional artist panel, the linen is Claessens 13, and the panel is gatorfoam.
