Thanks for a great year!
As 2017 comes to a close, I'm feeling overwhelmed with gratitude for how wonderful this year has been. Last spring I sold almost all my belongings and spent two months driving across the country while painting landscapes on the solo adventure of a lifetime. I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has bought a painting, emailed, or commented on social media in support of my work - it all means so much to me and has helped me build a life that I've been dreaming of for years! I'm now settled down in sunny Santa Barbara California, but continue to travel and paint in the mountain, coastal, and desert landscapes that are all accessible from here. These public lands are an integral part of my life and work, inspiring my art and feeding my soul. In light of yesterday's upsetting news about President Trump's decision to slash Bears Ears and Grand Staircase Escalante National Monuments, I am donating 20% of all profits from this sale to the National Monument Defense Fund. This money will help support the legal fight to protect these fragile landscapes. More details below. Thank you for joining me in supporting this cause!
I believe that drawing and painting can be learned through a logical approach and consistent practice. In my classes, I break down these skill sets into manageable goals according to each student's individual needs. Whether you have a lifetime of experience or you are new to making art, my goal is to give you more confidence and skills to get outside and have fun making art. I hope that you will come away from my class with a clear game-plan for your own painting practice, whether it is in the studio or outdoors! Class size is limited to eight students to ensure plenty of time for individual instruction and instructor demonstrations.
Private lessons for individuals or small groups of friends are available, send me an email! firstname.lastname@example.org
